Student Ministry Associate Coordinator

II. Position Summary

The Student Ministry Associate Coordinator role is a one-year (Aug-July) part-time spiritual and leadership development role. The purpose: to develop practical leadership skills, grow in the understanding and application of biblical theology in the context of student ministry, and foster growth for a lifetime of ministry.

 

III. Responsibilities

  • Work with Family Life Pastor and Student Pastor to: Plan, communicate, and execute student ministry programming (Sunday, LifeGroups, camps, & events)
  • Be involved in weekly preparation for Sunday or midweek environments (room set-up, gathering and set-up of recreation supplies, teaching, etc.)
  • Work along-side leadership to lead and resource student ministry volunteers
  • Come alongside other Creekside Ministries to gain experience and exposure to other aspects of overall church ministry
  • Miscellaneous administrative and communication tasks as requested

Reporting Relationship: Student Ministries Pastor

Supervises: Volunteers

 

V. Minimum Job Requirements
Education

  • High School Degree Minimum Experience
  • Volunteer or vocational student-ministry experience
  • Leadership or teaching skills Management/Supervisory Experience
  • Leading peers or small group of leaders

Skills

  • Public speaking and teaching communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a positive, proactive attitude
  • Ability to plan and organize programs, events and work effectively with a team
