Foundational Building Blocks
1 Peter 2:4-5 - As you come to Christ, the Living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to Him— you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
In Christ, we are no longer simply products of our past mistakes and failures. We are now projects of His grace and active involvement in our lives. Even if no else sees potential in us, God does because He made us in His image!
This passage in 1 Peter speaks of our Creator designing us as building material (“living stones”) to be utilized for His kingdom purposes on earth. When we allow ourselves to be built together with other believers, we become a spiritual house (like a temple) in which God can dwell and show Himself to the world.
Ask God what it means for Him to UTILIZE YOU as a contributing member of His household of faith. Are you willing to commit to being a living stone for God? Add your name to a stone at this Station as we all seek to fit together in holy service, becoming “willing building materials” in the hands of God.
