1 Peter 2:11-12 - Dear friends, I urge you, as foreigners and exiles, to abstain from sinful desires, which wage war against your soul. Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day He visits us.

Easter is a great opportunity to consider the life of Jesus Christ. During the Last Supper with His disciples, Jesus said, “Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father” (John 14:10). Hebrews 1:3 says, “The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being...” God the Father is spirit, so what is spoken about here is character similarity. In other words, Jesus was an outstanding advertisement for the Father on earth… perfectly representing Him before a fallen, needy world.

As Christ-followers, we are called to live the Christian life so winsomely before others that they see God living His life in us and through us (as Jesus did). We are to put God first in all we do. We are to avoid assimilating into this fallen world. We are to respond to temptations and challenges like the One we follow. We are to represent God well to those around us.

Every Christ follower is an advertisement for God… a billboard or road sign which says something about Him.  Spend some time in prayer and think about what your “living billboard” says about God?  What would you like your advertisement to say? Now take a little time to create the kind of human advertisement sign you would like to be before others. After making your sign, upload a picture, scan or other digital file for us to print out and place in the Auditorium along with everyone else's.

Matthew 5:16 - Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
