What is 'KALEO'?

KALEO is a Koine Greek word that means, “to be called upon; to be given a name”.

We are the young adult ministry of Creekside Christian Church. We exist to know Jesus, become like Jesus, and make Jesus known.

What We Stand For

As a ministry, we have five values that reflect and embody the five “Solas” of the Protestant Reformation, which we recognize as a crucial part of the heritage of our faith. Just as the Protestant Reformers sought to point people back to Scripture, the centrality of Christ, and the doctrines of grace, so we also strive to do the same here at KALEO.

The Five Solas

The Scriptures alone are our highest authority at Kaleo, as it contains the very words of God Himself.

We are committed to studying the SCRIPTURES deeply, thoroughly, and reverently; and to bringing our lives into alignment with what God has spoken to us within His Holy Word.

At the center of all that we are here at Kaleo lies the person of Jesus Christ – our Lord, our Savior, and our King.

Knowing, Loving, and Following Jesus Christ is the very heartbeat and DNA of our ministry, for He and He alone is worthy of our total allegiance and devotion.

Kaleo is a place for the weak, the hurting, and the broken – In other words, it is a place for those who know they can only be saved by grace alone.

We believe salvation is only possible by the free gift of salvation offered to us in the gospel, and we are committed to proclaiming this Good News without compromise.

It is not on the basis of race, class, culture, or socio-economic status that we are welcomed into the family of God; rather, it on the basis of faith alone.

Kaleo seeks to celebrate and embody the glorious truth that followers of Jesus (i.e, the Church) are made up of people from every tribe, nation, and tongue: a beautiful mosaic of diverse individuals who collectively place their faith in Him.

We believe that God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him. Therefore, Kaleo exists to draw others into the joy and hope of knowing Christ, so that, by enjoying Him, we may magnify His glory to others.

Ultimately, everything that we do is for the purpose of making Jesus known, and bringing supreme and utmost glory to God Alone.
