Outreach Strategy

Creekside’s mission is making disciples – more Christians and better Christians. We are compelled to proactively train and equip believers to live missionally, be disciple-makers, and resource kingdom-building until all nations, tribes, peoples, and languages have been reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Matthew 24:14; Revelation 7:9). We prioritize our outreach strategies to unleash local witnesses or “Reachers.”

Position Summary

Facilitate the mission and vision of Creekside Christian Church, especially in the area of everyday missional living. Recruit, lead, and train the Creekside body to share their faith story and help reach those far from Christ inviting them to know and follow Jesus. Provide oversight and development of Reach initiatives locally and globally.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and care for members of the Outreach Leadership Team; and with their assistance, establish ministry goals, financial plan, and budget. Manage all budget activities in conjunction with the Business Administrator.
  • Develop events, programs, and teaching modalities that proactively train and equip Creekside believers to live missionally, share their faith, and be disciple-makers.
  • Plan, lead, and/or oversee multiple mission trips a year.
  • Oversee the YES Team and provide timely follow to help individuals say yes to Jesus and cross the line of faith and/or help connect new believers to the discipleship pathway.
  • Rally, empower, and equip volunteer leaders throughout the church to carry on outreach ministry.
  • Develop key relationships with local, national, and international ministry partners, with the greatest emphasis on local (approximately 70% local; 30% non-local).
  • Help incorporate Reach messages or themes into our sermon series, Bible studies, or LifeGroup curriculum.
  • Other miscellaneous tasks upon request.

Functions

  • Supervises: Volunteers & Team Members. Help integrate outreach and mission activities within all ministry departments
  • Hiring Process: Led by Pathway Pastor; Executive leadership approval.

Minimum Job Requirements

   Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ordained pastor or ability to be licensed. Licensing may occur within 30 days of hire.

    Experience/Faith

  • Vibrant disciple of Jesus Christ and active involvement in a local church
  • Knowledge and acceptance of Creekside’s core values and Articles of Faith
  • Minimum three years’ experience in developing outreach programs for a large church

   Management/Supervisory Experience

  • Experience in recruiting and leading teams, including volunteers

   Skills

  • Warm, welcoming, and engaging; good at building rapport
  • Ability to manage and effectively lead volunteer teams
  • Working knowledge of the mission field and local outreach opportunities
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written; interpersonal; large groups)
  • Ability and experience in leading through change; adaptability
  • Strong administrative abilities
  • Technologically proficient with the desire to utilize technology effectively to maximize ministry results

   Spiritual Responsibilities

  • Consistently demonstrates the moral qualifications of 1 Timothy 3 and Ephesians 4 & 5
  • Furthers the mission, vision, and values of Creekside Christian Church (Making disciples that Connect, Grow, Serve, Reach)

Salary Range

  • $65,000-$70,000
