Kelly grew up in Nevada City, where he accepted Christ into his heart at the age of 10. He was baptized just a few months later, at which time he met his future wife, Gail. They have now been married over 50 years and have attended Creekside since the mid-1990s. Kelly has served on the Elder Board and pastoral search committees, regularly leads worship in our Classic service, directs our Easter presentations, leads our annual prayer retreats, and teaches our baptism classes. He is passionate about leading others into a deep conversational relationship with the One who knows us completely, and loves us forever. He says, “Scripture drips with relational language and we need to embrace this life that we are offered through an active relationship with Jesus. We are new creatures in Christ and I enjoy helping others move into this reality.” One of Kelly’s favorite verses is:
