What is Creekside Student Ministries?
Our ministry exists to come alongside families (the primary disciplers of each student) in line with the Creekside and Family Ministry heart to make disciples. We do this by partnering with adult mentors to equip and encourage students toward deeper spiritual growth and authentically living out their faith in response to the gospel. We see this done through commitment to learning from God's word, gathering in fellowship, prayer, celebrating communion, and a life of worship and service (corporately & individually) to impact the culture we live in for God's glory. This is accomplished in a welcoming and spiritually challenging environment that strives to build Christ honoring and faith encouraging fellowship among students in order to ultimately help each of them take their next step with Jesus.
Our Ministry Programs
Sundays
We seek to help students learn what it means to love God with their whole hearts & build their faith through worship and response to scripture. It is our prayer that students learn the importance of the church as a believer and how to be a part of a church community.

Student Ministry Sunday
Junior & High School Students
10:45 am
Venue - Encounter Service
Students join the congregation, serving and worshiping in the Encounter Service at 10:45am.
Wednesdays Youth Group
6:30-8:30 pm
The Lounge (E105) Education Building
We gather with students weekly in LifeGroups where they can foster relationships with others, participate in group discussions, and strengthen spiritual disciplines. This is a great environment for students to get plugged in to a community and learn more about Jesus.
Students will join small groups of their grades to discuss questions based on different passages in the Bible and the Sunday sermon. Our LifeGroup leaders follow one class through each grade, providing mentorship and consistent discipleship in the lives of students during junior high and high school. Allison Otto
Allison started attending Creekside in 2022 and joined the staff in 2023. God has given her a soft heart towards Him, and she came to accept Jesus as her Savior before the age of five. Allison has worked in youth ministry since 2008, serving both locally and in the Denver Metro area. She is married with one child and one fur baby. She grew up locally attending school in the Elk Grove Unified School District and at Sacramento State and has a heart to reach students who are far from the Lord, especially on high school and junior high campuses. Allison loves all things piano (playing and giving lessons), dogs (and all animals in general), live music (especially the Backstreet Boys and BTS), visiting national parks to experience and enjoy God’s creation, and spending time with her loving and supportive family and friends. One of her favorite verses is:
· 1 Corinthians 10:31 – So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

Jared Otto
Jared came to know the Lord at six years old and recommitted his life to Him at 15 when he gained a deeper understanding of what it meant to follow Christ and made his faith his own.
He has been connected to Creekside since before birth, as his mother attended while she was pregnant with him. After earning a Master of Divinity in Leadership from Denver Seminary in 2016, Jared worked at other churches before he and his wife, Allison, returned to Creekside in the summer of 2022.
Jared has been serving in Creekside Student Ministries since November 2023 and officially joined the staff in November 2024.
He is a devoted husband to Allison and a father to Isabel. His passion for God and His Word is evident in his love for teaching and coaching students to become more like Jesus. Jared grew up in Elk Grove and graduated from Franklin High School in 2007. He played baseball in both high school and college, attending The Master’s University on a baseball scholarship from 2007 to 2011. A lifelong sports fan, he faithfully supports the 49ers, Kings, and Athletics—unless the team proceeds with its move to Las Vegas.
In the spring, Jared coaches varsity baseball at his alma mater, Franklin High School.
His favorite Bible verse is Galatians 2:20: My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
