Get outside with Creekside!

We are called by God to community and fellowship together (Acts 2:42). Creekside Outside is a hub designed to connect individuals who share a passion for the outdoors.  You'll find events that suit your level of adventure and risk and meet new friends who share your interests – outside. Activities range from mild to wild, are always informal and fun, and led by volunteers who love God's creation. For more information, see event descriptions as they become available or contact Quinton Miller at outside@creeksideeg.com.

We are usually on Creekside's Main Street the first Sunday of each month. Stop to ask questions and get more information.

JFK 50

May 16

Creekside neighborhood

The JFK 50 is a challenge to walk 50 miles in one day.  It was first issued in 1963 by then President John F. Kennedy, and was based on a requirement that President Teddy Roosevelt had set for his own military officers.

For more information about the JFK 50 Mile Challenge, see https://www.artofmanliness.com/health-fitness/fitness/take-trjfk-50-mile-challenge/

Feel free to do this on your own, with friends, or even tag team it with your Life Group.  The walk is done on a loop just over 8 miles long, and we’ll walk it six times.  You may not be able to finish, but you can certainly participate!

The route will open at 4:00 am in the Creekside parking lot, and you can start whenever you arrive.

Contact Quinton Miller at outside@creeksideeg.com or (916) 502-3421 for more information or to RSVP.

Guys Backpacking Trip to Cherry Creek

June 26-28

Stanislaus National Forest

Join us for a two-night backpacking trip to Cherry Creek in the Stanislaus National Forest, June 26–28. We’ll begin at the Box Spring Trailhead near Pinecrest and hike into the rugged beauty of Cherry Creek, north of Yosemite, covering varied terrain with roughly 1,000 feet of elevation change. About a third of the route is off-trail and includes light bouldering, making this a true backcountry experience rather than a simple walk in the woods.

This trip is open to teenage guys and any man who’s ever been young at heart. Participants should be in reasonably good condition and ready for a challenge, camaraderie, and time well spent outdoors. Please RSVP.

For more information, contact Quinton Miller at outside@creeksideeg.com or (916) 502-3421.
