Matt grew up in the Midwest and Deep South, and he was blessed to be raised in a Christ-centered home and become involved in ministry at an early age. After finishing law school, he moved to Sacramento in 2005, and for the past 20 years he has been working for a legal ministry that advises and represents churches, other non-profits, and people of faith in the area of religious freedom. Matt and his wife Sarah, who grew up in this church and has been involved in women’s and children’s ministries, have one son, Eli. Through the years, Matt has enjoyed leading Bible studies, speaking at the Men’s Huddle, and co-leading a LifeGroup. A Scripture that has spoken to Matt a lot in the last few years is:
