The Love of Christ in a Shoebox
Since 1993 Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child has been sending joy and good news to children. Creekside has been participating with them since 2009. To date more than 198 million children in more than 170 countries and territories have received an Operation Christmas Child shoebox.
Shoebox gifts demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through OCC we are partnering with the local church worldwide who distribute the shoeboxes. Each shoebox gift is a powerful tool for sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. To date, more than 14.9 million boys and girls have made decisions to follow Christ.

How to build a shoebox
1. Find a shoebox
Use your own shoebox or pick up a free empty shoebox at our Church Office during the week, or in the Atrium on Sundays, while supplies last.
2. Label your shoebox
Use either an adhesive or printable label to indicate whether your shoebox is for a boy or girl and what age.

3. Fill your shoebox
Fill your shoebox with gifts for your child.
Use the guide on Samaritan's Purse's website for suggestions on age and gender appropriate gifts.
4. Pray over your shoebox
Pray for the child who will receive your shoebox. Pray that their family would be receptive to the Good News of Jesus Christ. Pray for the pastor of the church who will deliver your shoebox. Also pray that the child's community would be transformed by the Gospel.
5. Donate $10
Please write a $10 check for the shipping and handling of the shoebox made out to Samaritan's Purse. You can also donate online and get a label that allows you to track what country your shoebox goes to.
6. Drop off your shoebox
Drop off your filled and labeled shoebox at Creekside anytime from October 15 to November 12.
