Karen Stoneburner

Position: Interim Outreach Coordinator
Categories: Discipleship Pathway, Missions

Karen started attending our church in 1989! She joined staff just one year later and has the longest tenure of anyone on our staff. She accepted Christ when she was 22 and served as a missionary in China in ’87-’89. Karen was born in Olympia WA and also lived in UT, CO, NV, AZ and of course CA. She loves the outdoors, with her two favorite outdoor activities being hiking and kayaking. She believes there is something adventuresome about hiking and kayaking, but she also loves the reflective time both those activities afford a person. She also enjoys gardening and arts and crafts. Karen was given a life verse when she completed catechism and often leans into it:

· 2 Corinthians 12:9 – “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

Her verse to live by:

· Micah 6:8 – He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
